My practice as a criminal defense lawyer began in 1981, as a judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps. I served as a defense counsel, trial counsel, and legal assistance officer in Okinawa, Korea, and Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. My cases included premediated murder, negligent homicide, robbery, arson, and military offenses such as unauthorized absence. Upon returning to civilian life, I continued to practice in the criminal courts of Suffolk, Middlesex, and Essex. My case load includes serious felonies as well as district court misdemeanors.
